Sign a PDF with your company name and a short remark.
Need to return a document with a signature and a line such as a company name or “Received for review”? Promotcha can place those together as a visible image on one selected PDF page. It works in your browser, with no account or file-upload backend. This guide describes that specific workflow—not a certificate-backed digital-signing service.
Check the recipient's requirements first
Ask which signing method is accepted. If they require a digital certificate, DSC, Aadhaar eSign or identity verification, this visible-image tool is not the appropriate service. Adding a company name does not establish your authority to sign for it. Sign only for yourself or with permission, and keep the original document.
1. Choose an unsigned PDF
Open Sign PDF and choose the document. “Choose” means the browser reads the file locally; it is not uploading it to a signing server. The tool checks the document and renders a preview. Complex files and slower devices can take longer; you can prepare the signature while the preview loads. Cancel or retry if a preview times out.
The file limit is 50 MB. Interactive PDF forms and already digitally signed files are rejected. A selected page with rotation metadata or a nonstandard crop box is not supported. Do not remove an existing digital signature or flatten a form just to evade a rejection.
2. Draw or type the signature
Use the drawing area with a mouse, finger or pen, or choose Type signature and enter your name. Select an ink colour and review the signature before continuing. A typed or drawn picture does not verify identity. For a standalone signature image instead of a PDF, use Create a signature PNG.
3. Add optional company name and remarks
Enter the company name, up to 80 characters, and a remark, up to 160 characters. Keep both short enough to remain legible. For a synthetic practice document, you might use “Example Studio” and “Received for review”. Use wording that accurately describes your intent; do not add an approval or authorization you have not given.
The company name and remark are rendered together with the signature as an image. They are not searchable PDF text, form fields, a company seal or a cryptographic signature. If the recipient needs selectable text or a particular accessibility structure, use an appropriate document editor instead.
4. Pick the page and position the signature
Select the page. Click or tap the preview to place the signature, then use Fine-tune size & position if needed. Check the entire signature block, including captions: it must stay inside the page and must not cover document text. A small block can make captions unreadable even when the PDF preview looks neat at reduced zoom.
5. Apply, download and inspect
Choose Apply signature, wait for the result and download the signed copy. Reopen it in your usual PDF viewer. Check every page, page order, signature location, company spelling and remark. Zoom in to confirm readability. Only one selected page is signed per operation; do not assume the block was added to every page.
If something is not right
- Preview takes time: wait for the visible status, or use Cancel/Retry. Repeatedly selecting the same file does not make its first render faster.
- Block runs outside the page: move it inward or reduce its size. Do not accept an output with clipped captions.
- Recipient rejects the signature: ask which signing method is required. Renaming the file does not turn an image signature into a digital certificate.
- Need a smaller attachment: check the file-upload checklist. Review compression trade-offs and keep the original rather than repeatedly reducing quality.
Privacy and support
The current tools do not intentionally store PDF bytes, filenames or signature images on our servers. Normal page requests still reach the host, and a compromised device or extension can undermine local processing. Read file privacy and quality limitations. For regulated or highly sensitive documents, use your organization's approved workflow.
